New funding for cybersecurity innovation

To further stimulate cybersecurity innovation, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the European Commission have made almost 1 million euros available for the development of cybersecurity solutions and services. Dutch companies and research organizations can apply for this new subsidy, the Cybersecurity Innovation Fund (CIF-NL), from October 2 to November 2, 2023. Applicants can expect to receive an amount ranging from 25,000 to 75,000 euros per project.

Just think of virtual assistants and chatbots, such as ChatGPT, Alexa and Siri, smart games and self-driving cars. But sectors such as healthcare, e-commerce and fraud detection can also no longer do without AI. The Netherlands has a strong international competitive position in AI and is keen to build on it. To this end, the Dutch AI Coalition (NL AIC) has been set up.
