Circular Economy
By 2050, the Netherlands will be fully circular. The environmental impact of resource use in a circular economy - i.e. of all Dutch production and consumption - will then fall within the planetary boundaries.
The value of raw materials, materials and products will be preserved for as long as possible, resulting in virtually no waste. Thus, we will reduce CO2 emissions, cause less pollution, and improve biodiversity and life security.
Digital and Information Technologies play a crucial and valuable role in in this transition.
