Reinforce and improve
ICT is vital to every single sector of the economy. Each sector of the economy faces its own particular ICT challenges. At the same time, many of those challenges are connected. The mission of Digital Holland is to help companies, government agencies and knowledge institutions to realise ICT innovations through knowledge exchange and closer cooperation. Companies, universities, research centres and government agencies are working together to develop knowledge and innovations to reinforce and improve the Dutch position in the international arena for digital innovation.
The ICT sector has been outperforming the average for the Dutch economy for years, and digitalisation is a key driver of economic growth.
ICT Challenges
Every sector of the economy faces its own particular ICT challenges. At the same time, many of those challenges run parallel to each other. An ICT solution that is applied successfully in one sector might also help with a problem in another sector, or add other value. Digital Holland fosters and initiates ICT innovations for the various sectors of the economy. Its goal is to convert cross-sectoral connections into opportunities, to utilise them more effectively and so make optimum use of ICT innovations.
This will boost the Dutch economy and help overcome the challenges facing society. This takes the shape of cooperation, knowledge sharing and providing financial routes for specific themes.
