Gijs Tuinman, caretaker State Secretary for Defence, believes LiveDrop’s solution will have a positive effect on Dutch digital resilience. On a recent LinkedIn post, he wrote: ‘In light of recent geopolitical developments, harnessing the innovative power of SMEs within the NATO alliance has key benefits for our national security and economy.’

LiveDrop raised a total of 2.5 million US dollars (2.1 million euros) in an oversubscribed seed round in the Ministry of Defence’s SecFund. ‘We’re proud to contribute directly to the Ministry’s innovation agenda and are grateful for the trust and support of Minister Ruben Brekelmans and State Secretary Gijs Tuinman which have made this possible,’ wrote Maarten Tobias, serial tech entrepreneur and co-founder of LiveDrop on LinkedIn.

In a recent interview, CEO of LiveDrop Patrick Moreu explained the importance of strategic trade events as a springboard for digital business and innovation in the Netherlands. As in previous years, Topsector ICT will again be co-organising various international trade missions as well as engaging activities at strategic tech events that are aligned with the priorities of the National Technology Strategy (NTS). Topsector ICT will also be funding Dutch pavilions at the previously mentionedevents and conferences.
